Performance Journalling

Reflecting on the emotions, experiences and anxieties you feel helps to reduce stress and improves mental performance. It also leads to measurable improvements in physical health.

Performance journalling is the recommended tool for achieving these outcomes. By using the Mindset app to create your journal, you also get unique insights into how your mindset evolves over time.

Journalling Effectively

Journalling is more effective when you are not afraid to talk about emotional and painful topics. The more honest you can be in your journaling, the better it will serve you.

Journalling may feel difficult at first but gets easier over time. Start with what works for you and take it from there.

What To Journal About?

There is no single right way to keep a journal. Here are some recommended approaches however:

  • Keep track of what you do well each day. Review your entries when you need to find your confidence again.
  • Write down 3 good things that happen to you each day. Appreciating good things improves mood.
  • Reflect on what you did today to move you closer to your goals. What could you could change tomrrow to better achieve your goals?
  • What did you learn in the past 24-hours? What will you do next time to achieve a better outcome?

Note: You can use the lightbulb option in the Mindset app to pick a different topic to address each day.
